It wasn't coincedential that Vampire State Building played after the meeting of surrealism. In addition, the music, which can be called something like "hard techno rock," contributed strongly to that the visual and made an unusual experience. The vocalist, a couple of dancers and the rest of the band made an original show, helped by creative use of light and data animations in the background. If one should describe the total experience with one word, "pompous" would be a good choice. With two words you could make it into "very pompous." With three words, in foreign-ish, it is "over the top." No one should believe that that means that it was bad; not at all. It was those parts that worked the best. I was discarding all critical sense and letting the impressions flow inside me, and the result was that I was sitting with chills from the top of my head to far down my thighs. If you walk around with plans to design a new religion, Vampire State Building would be worthy gods.
