One of Europe’s best hardcore labels, Progress Records, has just released a "Pay no more than a CD maxi" sampler [Progress Yourself]. Twelve tracks with ten Norwegian bands and two German. The evocative techno-rock band Vampire State Building and the missing link between 2 Unlimited and Godflesh, the infamous Piledriver, are both goodies and make up for the money. Cockroach Clan deliver joyful and melodic punk rock. Israelvis play metal in church at night and Funny Farm scares you. If you have to, pay more than a maxi single to get this album.
